Welcoming Violet

This past weekend welcomed a sweet bébé into the world named Violet. For her mothering ceremony, I painted 4 petit fleurs as a gift to Tiffany and Shane. Here they are up in the nursery:

Each one is 6"x6", acrylic on natural wood. I chose not to stain the wood for these.

I'm so excited to be a part of Violet's experience in the world.

If you look at my past few paintings, it would seem I'm obessed with purple right now. I'm not sure where that came from, but it's a funny trend.

One of my friends brought me a stack of canvases a few weeks ago that she wasn't going to use, so I painted this sweet lavender painting as a thank you.
