I did the thing!
2 weeks ago I graduated from Swan River's 400 hour 6 month long teacher training. It was a pretty intense rollercoaster at times and it's taken me a couple weeks to have it set in. I taught my first public class on the schedule this morning and though it's still new, I can't wait to keep exploring this knowledge. I was just subbing a class this morning, but starting in January, I'll be teaching a Swan River Open Level flow class every Sunday at 8:30 AM.
Teacher Training was a huge experience all by itself with enough things to work on processing for the next year at least. I thought when I completed my certification, there'd be this huge relief; like waiting to exhale. And it was! except now there are so many things changing in just this next month that I'm still waiting for the dust to settle. I'm really excited for 2018 and all the new things it'll bring:
-My car accident drama has finally been settled (at least for now on my end)
-I decided to quit Painting with a Twist at the end of the year (unfortunately the owners have also decided to close up shop)
-Swan River is opening an uptown studio and I'll be staffing there as well as co-running the work/study program.
-I'll be teaching Sundays at 8:30AM at Swan River in Mid City and subbing classes at both the Uptown and Mid City studios as well as the donation based Arabi location.
-For the rest of the year, I'm taking reiki appointments by donation since my schedule is so limited

Other than that, I'm excited to get back to painting more regularly and will be taking on tutoring clients as well.
As a gift to all my Swan School mentors, I painted them each a small fleur:
Clockwise from top: Camellia for TQ, Orchids for Brig, Sunflower for Lindsey, Hibiscus for Michelle, and Tigerlily for Rob.
All are 6"x7" acrylic on wood
