    Commissions and The Clash

Finished this beautiful commission earlier this week and am delivering it today.  I've been really enjoying breaking out of the Harvest Womb work to play with different subject matter and different techniques.  I love teaching at PWAT, but a lot of the paintings become so formulaic to teach. I think that's why I enjoy painting on wood so much and breaking away from working on canvas. I like leaving my surface showing and playing with slow processes (like the drip painting I did for this piece) that aren't achievable without the time and space to work.

Injury update: I just got a walking boot today so I can do some small physical therapy each day, but I'm still not allowed to weight-bear yet.  Currently still homebound and looking for more work to do.  I'll be finishing 2 new Harvest Womb pieces this week, but now is the time to commission a piece from me.  Prices vary depending on size and subject matter, but a large scale painting (24"x36") like the one above would be $450.  Small scale flower paintings (7"x7") are $40 each or $100 for 3.

Basic 16"x20" fleur de lis paintings are $75 each:

I'm also (always) in the process of trying to clean out space to make room for more art. If you follow this link, you'll see some pieces I have available for purchase right now. ART PURGE = ART SALE
