Giving Tuesday

Today is #GivingTuesday, which is a day that tries to reclaim the spirit of the holidays after black friday and cyber monday and encourage people to give back to non-profits and other community programs. The non-profit that I'm currently working with, the COOL cooperative, is working with Giving Tuesday this year. The COOL Cooperative is a free 6 year program that currently works with under served kids in the Algiers Charter School system teaching them film and art skills. I've only been teaching the kids for 2 months and already they've come so far and taught me so much as well. Here's the 7th graders' first short film:

And this was only after 1 month with the program! Just imagine what they could do next year with your help! We're only able to provide these kids with so much from the kindness of others wanting to help their community continue to grow.
