Harvest Womb Update-Call for More Models
I set several goals for myself at the beginning of this summer, ranging from practicing yoga more to traveling to finishing projects. Then at the beginning of July, I broke my leg which crushed a lot of my goals and put me in a slump for a while (sometimes it still does). But when it happened and after everything settled a bit, I looked at my goals again and picked out the ones I could still complete. One of those was to finish all the Harvest Womb paintings that I already had started by the end of the summer. And I did it! (a couple days late, but they're done!) Like I said, I wanted to complete them partly to feel better about my injury and at least complete some goals this summer and then on the other hand, I want to start gathering more models and my house is so hot in the summer, I didn't want to submit any of my friends to that.
So that's the biggest thing, right now, I'm looking for more people who would like to be a part of the series and contacting people who have offered before when I didn't have the time. I'm not sure when the next set of paintings will come to fruition, but I'd like to gather a lot of figure drawing references from a larger group of people in hopes of also diversifying the imagery more. I'm super grateful to everyone who has modeled so far and hope to continue this project for a while. It really is a labor of love at this point, but hopefully sooner they'll be able to be up together.
If you're interested in modeling, hit me up and we can schedule a time to. It usually only takes 1-2 hours.
