    I did it!

    Je suis fatiguée.

SO. The beginning of my series, Harvest Womb, previously referred to as Produce Product, and my 4 newest additions to the Telegraphing digital series have been accepted to be displayed during the Tulane Film and Arts Festival next SATURDAY, the 21st, from 1:30PM-10PM. Also that night at 7:45, Dear White People will be showing. The festival is FREE. I'm pretty stoked.

I found out last Friday but it's been a kinda of insane week. I seriously got the email about my acceptance right when I was talking with a friend about how I didn't think I got in, because the festival was only 2 weeks away. Well, surprise! I found out when I got home from work, but then I had to go teach at painting with a twist; there was no time to be excited. I had to figure out how to get my prints done before I left for NYC. I marched with Chewbacchus on Saturday and that took a lot of prep work. My cousin came in town and I entertained him Saturday and Sunday until I had my yoga workshop. Monday I had work and other errands I had to run to prepare for my trip. I managed to get my digital files to my friend, Alan, for him to print them on his large scale printer (Thanks, again, Alan!). On Wednesday, I finally managed to pick up wood to build frames, but I spent most of the day packing and trying to get other errands done. Also doing a lot of math to utilize as much wood as possible. Math is hard, y'all. On Thursday, I left work to pick up my prints from Alan. Immediately went home to cut wood. Then I had to go teach again. I stayed up until 1AM building and gesso-ing frames. And I still had to get up at 6:30 this morning to attach the prints to the frames.

But now, it's mostly ready to be dropped off next Thursday after I get back from NYC.  Which I leave for in about an hour, now. Je veux dormir. I'll sleep when I'm dead on the plane.
